Soon to be unemployed and worried. It's hard finding a path when you are so torn about the state of the world. I want to do good. I want to work hard to change things. At the same time, shit's fucked. I want to tread lightly on the earth, but I'm an American. I don't want to drive, but I can't get a job without a car. I want to do something radically different, but is that not a doomed attempt? I don't want to be lazy, but what good is life if you haven't the time to enjoy it? I don't want to be part of the system, but I am.

In the history of the earth, humans are here but for the blink of an eye. That seems to be enough time to fuck up all the intricate systems that have evolved. Is that enough time to learn how to coexist, though?

Oh, how to find a meaningful job when our lives are intrinsically so meaningless. What is my vocation? What is my calling? Does it coincide with my values?

Maybe I should become a Buddhist monk. Then again, I know a monk that uses facebook.
